ABOUT MASSAGE
We treat poor posture, stress, injuries and other afflictions that cause musculoskeletal dysfunction. Each massage therapy plan is tailored to meet the patient's unique pain condition or injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include the increase of blood circulation, a localized reduction in swelling and the relaxation of muscles, leading to reduction in pain. Massage has been been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase range of motion, while aiding patient recovery. River Forest Health and Wellness offers a wide range of massage therapy techniques that can help reduce the time it takes to recovery from injures.
Our Model to a Successful Treatment Plan
Patient-Centered Care
Our individually tailored treatments with the most current, evidence-based therapies are centered around you. Patient-centered care sets each patient up for success. Just as no two people are exactly alike, at River Forest Health and Wellness no two treatment plans are exactly alike and they may involve chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage or a combination of these.
Education
Patient education is the foundation of care at River Forest Health and Wellness. It is essential for each patient to understand why the problem exists, why the treatment approach is taken and how to successfully reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
Prevention
Awareness from the patient-centered approach to care and the patient education gives our patients the greatest chance of preventing undesired injuries as well as other health concerns. Prevention involves ergonomic correction at work and home, exercise, stress reduction, diet/nutrition and lifestyle modifications.
